Roots in Miami
Ivory Lewis was born and raised in Miami, Florida, into a family that gave him the freedom to explore music early. By age eight he was already listening closely — Kirk Franklin, Mahalia Jackson, The Temptations, Jimi Hendrix, Al Green, and Muddy Waters all left their mark. That range of influence pulled him toward writing music, and by high school he was rapping as well.
From Campus to the Booth
After graduating from Carol City Senior High, Ivory studied English with a minor in Psychology at Florida International University. He kept pursuing the creative work that interested him, and got his first real spotlight DJing FIU's Black Student Union Fashion Show.
In 2013 he interned at Clear Channel's WMIB 103.5 The Beat, an iHeartRadio station, working in programming under Logic MC and DJ Bulletproof while also helping with promotions. When a part-time spot opened up, he brought program director DJ A-Oh a demo of his mixing — and earned a guest spot on air over the holidays.
Building a Reputation
That opportunity led to more. DJ Bulletproof and DJ 33⅓ trusted him with a weekly one-hour mix slot on Friday and Sunday nights, and he kept building from there. Alongside the on-air work, he's stayed close to his community, showing up for city events and leading by example for people who look up to his work ethic.
DJ Ivory P, Today
Post-pandemic, while maintaining his affiliations with 103.5 The Beat, Strong Arm Radio, Dash Radio, Sound Boys Media, and iHeartMedia, Ivory launched DJ Ivory Ent LLC — providing reliable Host and DJ booking and management for private, corporate, community, and club events.
He also started his own radio program, What The P Stand 4 Radio, home to his podcast WhatThePStand4. As of June 29, 2026, the show airs on 103.5 The Beat in Miami, Friday and Saturday nights from 2–4 AM. He continues building his own name — the grandmaster of his own destiny.
